Palm Beach County is the largest county in the state of Florida in total area and the third largest county in the state in population. Palm Beach is one of the three counties comprising the South Florida metropolitan area, along with Broward and Miami-Dade. The town of Palm Beach, referred to as Palm Beach Island, is the easternmost town in Florida, with the Intracoastal Waterway separating it from the neighboring cities of West Palm Beach and Lake Worth. Palm Beach is the home of many large, luxurious estates situated on sprawling home sites. The homes exhibit a wide range of architectural styles ranging from Spanish motif, traditional, contemporary and modern. The most notable landmark in Jupiter is the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse. Celebrities such as Celine Dion, Bill Parcells, Michael Jordan, Bryant Gumbel and Burt Reynolds have owned a home in Jupiter.
Manalapan is a small beachside community surrounded by the Intracoastal Waterway on the west, Lake Worth Inlet on the south and the Atlantic Ocean on the east.
Boca Raton is the largest city between West Palm Beach and Pompano Beach in Broward County in population and land area. Boca Raton has beaches along its eastern shore, notably Red Reef Park and South Inlet Park, where a visitor can snorkel from the shore without the expense of having to rent a boat. Gumbo Limbo, an environmental education center, is also located within this 20 acre park. Mizner Park has become the cultural center for South Palm Beach County. Resembling a Mediterranean town center with more of a contemporary look, Mizner Park features restaurants and is home to the Boca Raton Museum of Art. The amphitheater, within this center, provides a large capacity outdoor venue for concerts and other performances. Mizner Park features fine dining and exclusive shops. Many celebrities have lived in Boca Raton, including Paul Newman, Jon Bon Jovi and Donald Trump. Boca Raton has also been the focus of media promotion in many forms of popular culture. It has been mentioned in many movies such as All The President’s Men, Back To The Future and Marley and Me; and in TV shows such as The Golden Girls, The Sopranos and Two and a Half Men.
